Our History

For over 80 years, the De Soto Public Library has been at the center of the De Soto community. What once began as a one room library has grown into a large building housing a wide collection of all types of materials.

Back then the Library was all about books, but today has evolved into so much more. Come explore our collection of movies, audiobooks, and magazines. Pull up a chair to our public computers and see where your creativity takes you. Visit our Genealogy Center and discover your family history. Bring your friends and family to one of our special events where you can learn something new or simply be entertained. Our website is open 24/7, so you can browse our collection, research any topics of interest, or find out what's happening here at DSPL.
