The library's monthly newsletter contains information about our hours and contact information, upcoming programming, and various other information about library services. Friends of the Library Purse Sale: April 18th from 9am-1pm. We are still collecting donations! See us at the De Soto Home Show from 9am-4pm on April 18th as well. The library offers three different book clubs for kids, teens, and adults. Call the library for more information. Our therapy dogs will visit with us on March 12th & 18th @ 4PM. Registration is not required! The Friends of De Soto Library are a volunteer organization dedicated to the enhancement of library-related programs through fundraising and advocacy. They hold a purse sale, yard sale, and book sale every year to fundraise for the Summer Reading Program and other library programs. If you are interested in becoming a friend or would like more information, call the library.
Upcoming events for March: Pre-School Story Hour is cancelled for the month of March due to meeting room construction. Alzheimer's Support Group is a monthly meeting on the first Monday of the month from 5:30-7:00PM. Kid Book Club: Monday, March 9th @ 4PM Pup Tales with Darcy: Wednesday, March 12 @ 4PM Auzzy and Fleur with Canine Companion: Wednesday, March 18th @ 4PM Future Events: Plant Hanger Workshop: Wednesday, May 6th from 4:30-6PM. This program cost $25 and must be paid in full a week before this progam. Impact Life Blood Drive at De Soto Library on Monday, June 29th from 2:30-5:30PM. Day Light Savings Time is Sunday, March 9th! Don't forget to set your clocks an hour forward! In October, the library recived a grant to replace some of our outdated technology. All new pieces have been installed and are ready to be used by the public.
